I'm based in the USA, so I can only really speak on US-based providers. International Solutions are covered here, but from a US-based perspective.
If you already have an AT&T Unlimited plan, you're actually already covered for Canada and Mexico at no extra cost. If you already specifically have an AT&T Unlimited Premium® PL, AT&T Premium®, or AT&T Unlimited EliteSM plan, you're actually already covered in an additional 20 Latin American countries as well at no extra cost. With this, you're covered in almost all of South America!
If you already have AT&T, and you're fine with having just one connection (you can always shop around on arrival as well for additional connections), the AT&T International Day Pass offers unlimited data in over 210 destinations for only $10/day.
UnlimitedIRL provides a great solution for all of the countries shown in the Solo Connect Coverage Map below. They offer the Solo Connect Unlimited Data Modem Kits, which include everything you need to reliably stream IRL all over the world. This is the best solution I'm aware of if you want multiple connections for bonding outside of the US, unless you're willing to shop around on your own for the destination you're planning to visit.
Something you may not be aware of is that you can totally go on ebay and search something like 'Prepaid Sim Card Japan' and get a list of ready to go sim cards with unlimited data that you can use as soon as you land in your destination country.
