Prism Live Studio
Introduction
Prism Live Studio was hand down the best IRL Streaming app on Android until IRL Pro launched, and is still very widely used by IRL Streamers. It's free and very easy to setup.
Pros: Built in free multistreaming. Intro video support.
Cons: Only supports RTMP, where IRL Pro supports SRT/SRTLA.
The Condensed (To The Point) Guide
Download the app. Open it.
You'll see a sign up page, sign up. Grant the permissions it ask for.
Turn the phone sideways so it switches to landscape.
Swipe from the right of the screen to the left and you'll see the My Studio page.
Press the 'Widget' icon on the far right. Select 'Web,' and then add your preferred Alertbox URL (See Alerts / Overlays / Text-to-Speech). Give it a title, and hit the yellow Save button in the top right.
Once it's saved, activate it by clicking the box that is now created on the My Studio page.
Now you will see it on the screen, and can place it, resize it, and zoom in or out.
Every single time you launch Prism Live Studio, you will have to swipe to the My Studio screen and select these boxes to activate them. They save, but do not activate automatically on launch.
You will want to add a chat overlay, so repeat the process and add your Chat Overlay URL as well. This chat overlay will be visible on the screen for the users as well. There is a built-in chat feature for the sites they support, so if you prefer that, you can skip this step.
If you want to add any other overlay, repeat the process to do so. Prism Live Studio only supports four active overlays on the screen at any given moment.
Go back to the main screen.
Click the white clapper board icon on the right. A clapper board looks like this🎬.
On this page, select the platform you plan to stream on. If it isn't listed, select 'Custom RTMP' at the bottom. Enter your Stream URL and Stream Key, name it, and press the small yellow Save icon in the top right of the menu.
Click the X in the top right.
Now you will see your stream info in a big grey box. This is where you set your resolution and bitrate settings. You can also add an intro video here if you wish.
Click the yellow icon that has replaced the clapper board icon.
You're live.
Every time you launch the app, the white clapper board icon will be there. Simply press it, and it will change to yellow, and press it again to go live the next time you launch the app.
Important Settings
Once on the main page, where you see the camera, press the icon in the top right . There is a small gear icon by your username, press it. Here you can change a few settings, but scroll down and find 'Conceal watermark' and press it. This will remove the 'Prism' overlay which appears throughout the stream. It's free to conceal it, but a lot of people don't bother to do this.
Multistreaming
One benefit to using Prism Live Studio is the included free Multistreaming Options. You can add multiple platforms and go live to them all at the same time with this application, without having to also pay for Restream.io.
