Introduction
What this site is all about!
What is IRL Streaming?
IRL is short for 'In Real Life.' IRL Streaming is a very wide range category, which includes anything you can imagine that doesn't take place in a desktop setting (like gaming streamers, reaction streamers, etc). Really, it's anything you could imagine outside of that. If I sat here listing things that people have streamed IRL, the list would be virtually endless. I have personally streamed many things, from popular bar areas all over the country, museums, zoos, historic areas, tourist areas, casinos, long drives, beaches, trips with friends, holidays, etc.
What is the purpose of this site?
The purpose of this site is to help others who want to also stream IRL. I have been an IRL streamer for several years, attempting my first IRL stream on an iPhone 3G all the way back in 2010 on Justin.tv (it failed), to returning to the IRL scene in 2018 when the technology finally caught up to my limited income, to becoming a full-time IRL streamer as my only job in 2020 (during Covid). I often get questions from other streamers asking for advice and guidance doing IRL, which led to the idea of building this site. If you're interested in checking out my streams, visit Kick.com/Loulz!
Note:
The information here is based on my personal experience. The recommendations that follow are based on hardware and software I have personally used for IRL Streaming. If you're another IRL Streamer and you aren't seeing a detailed guide on your own personal setup, that's why! Feel free to contact me to contribute. Specifically with iPhones, I have very little knowledge.
